About Sam

My name is Sam. I am 8 years old.

My favorite food is tacos. Tacos taste good when they are not burnt.  They are fun to make. The meat is very juicy when it is done.  I really like the vegetable toppings.  Tacos are a great meal.

I like Bozeman.  I take ski lessons at Bridger Bowl.  It’s fun to cast the line when I fish.  The best sledding place is at the Dinosaur Park.  The outdoors is one of the best things in Bozeman.

Mom says…

Hi! I’m Cara, and I’m Sam’s mom!  We love Bozeman and are excited to share our favorite spots with you.  Sam has a lot of cool adventures that he is looking forward to telling you about, so that you can go on these cool adventures too! If you see us around town, go ahead and say hi!

We have lived in Bozeman since January 2014, and adore the mountains, rivers, and friendly people here.  We have three children in our family, and our oldest child has special needs so we will share some tips for resources, activities, and accommodations for special needs as well.

I’m so excited to help Sam share with you, if you could leave us a comment, we’d love to know where you’re from and what you like to do!

PS: I’m a professional blogger, and I set this blog up for Sam in about an hour. If you’d like help starting a blog for yourself, or one like this for your child, you can click here and I’ll show you how for free!

  1. Hi Sam & Cara,

I’m originally from Glyndon, MN but have lived in Mesa, AZ since 1999 and most recently bought property in Golden Valley, NV. I enjoy hiking, biking, and kayaking and look forward to seeing the adventures you enjoy around Bozeman, MT. I think a blog is an exciting assignment for Language Arts (much better than my assignments at your age). I look forward to your future posts 🙂

  2. Hi, Sam! I’m your second cousin! I’m originally from California! I was born in Lancaster, CA, and grew up in Downey, CA. In 1990 I moved to Las Vegas, NV and have lived here ever since. One day I hope to travel to Montana and meet you in person! I can’t wait to visit all the places you recommend! I can’t wait to read more about all your adventures!

      1. Thank you! Did u have a fun Halloween? What costume did you wear? I hear winter has come to Montana, is that True? Today will be our coolest day so far this fall at a low 70’s. Which is beautiful Weather! It’s the wind that makes it feel cold. We don’t usually get a lot of snow here in the city. We live under mount Charleston, and Red Rock, they will get snow up there so it’s really close if we want to go up the mountain. It would take about 30 minutes to get up there from our house. There is skiing and other activities there. On Red Rock there’s a place called Bonnie Springs Ranch it too is about 30 minutes from our home. It is a horse ranch and has a petting zoo, a train, an old western type town show. The petting zoo has a couple of rescued wolves, I believe you can go horse back riding on a trail on Red Rock also. You can look these places up on a map we live in the far northwest in the shadow of Red Rock in the Township in Las Vegas called Centennial. You can look up what a Township inside a city is too. What adventures have you been on lately?
